I am not liking SuSe Studio so much anymore. The main goal for using it was to easily and quickly build xen VMs that I could deploy on my xen server at home.
However, this has been less then successful. The xen guests that are built by Suse Studio don’t work. There is even a disclaimer (that I accidentally found in the smaller print) that states something to the effect that only SuSe Linux Enterprise clients (dom U) will work in SLE xen server (dom 0).
That’s kind of unfortunate. I hope they fix this problem.
UPDATE 29 October 2009:
I have tried the advice at this post, and it seems to work. I can boot into a DomU in a Fully virtualized environment. I still need to confirm how easy it is to change the kernel over, and create a new config file that will boot the VM, but at least I’m feeling better that SuSE Studio is more usable.
