After reading Linux HTPC HowTo I’m a little more comfortable installing MythTv. Lots of great info on there.
I’m still a little unsure about whether I can play the MythTV files from a windows PC.
Just found this link: Suse 9.3/10.0 Multimedia which seems to have a nicely written quickguide to setting up multimedia (as well asn MythTV) on Suse. Right up my alley!
I’ve been giving some thought recently on jumping ship to linux on all (most) of my home computers. This is for several reasons, the main one being a desire to migrate away from the Microsoft OS.
